The Société de la Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur is a public establishment, created in 2022 at the request of 11 partner local authorities, to carry their financial participation in the Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur project, the railway project of the century in the Sud – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The combined strength of united local authorities, an innovative financing model

The Société de la Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur is the catalyst of a public utility project that will revolutionize mobility in service of the territories, that of the Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur.

Bringing together 11 local authorities (the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, the Bouches du Rhône Department, the Var Department, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the Aix-Marseille Provence Metropolis, the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, Dracénie Provence Verdon Agglomération and the Cannes Pays de Lérins, Pays de Grasse and Sophia-Antipolis agglomeration communities), it participates in the financing of the project (40% of the total cost) alongside the State (40%) and the European Union (20%).

The Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur is a true facilitator of daily travel within the three regional metropolises, Marseille, Toulon, Nice and between them, but also a railway link between the major Mediterranean cities and regions, from Spain to Italy. A global project with local, national and international virtues and contributions that must build the backbone of all mobility.
