Who are we?

The Société de la Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur is a local public establishment, created by the legislator in 2022 at the request of 11 partner local authorities to carry their financial participation in the realisation of the Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur project, alongside the State and the European Union, also co-financers.

The Société de la Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur brings together 11 territorial authorities and groupings of territorial authorities: the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, the Bouches du Rhône Department, the Var Department, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the Aix-Marseille Provence Metropolis, the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and Dracénie Provence Verdon Agglomération and the agglomeration communities, Cannes Pays de Lérins, Pays de Grasse and Sophia-Antipolis.

The public establishment participates in the steering and financing of the project, ensures the control and optimisation of costs and compliance with the implementation schedule and ensures the proper territorial integration of the project and the search for the best synergies with the planning policies carried by the member authorities.

The President's message

It’s done, the railway project of the century has been launched!

A long-awaited project in our Region – More trains every day, fewer delays and less wasted time, better coverage of the territory and modern, comfortable and secure stations. By the end of the project in 2035 for its first two phases, we will be able to run 66% more trains and we will have true RER services running every quarter of an hour in our metropolitan areas.

A project also long-awaited at the national and European level – LNPCA is indeed the essential link in a high-performance railway arc from Barcelona to Genoa.

The local public establishment dedicated to the realisation of this project, which we created with 11 local authorities and EPCIs and which I have the honour of chairing, is fully operational and perfectly on track with its roadmap. With the support of Europe, the State, local authorities, SNCF Réseau and SNCF Gares & Connexions, we will revolutionise transport in the Sud region and in Southern Europe.”

Renaud Muselier, President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, Delegated President of Régions de France, President of the Société de la Ligne Nouvelle Provence Côte d’Azur.
